After a recent trip to Melbourne for a weekend getaway I have decided to move there.

I wish.

I LOVE Melbourne, it really makes me realize how boring Adelaide is. The coffee shops, the outings, even the cold weather, love love love.

The funny thing is, I didn't actually do THAT much shopping there. We hit up a few vintage shops which I loved, but found Chapel St/Bourke St mall.. all the usual suspects, quite predictable. I guess thats what the Internet has done for us, everything is so much more accessible. Having said that strolling up and down Chapel is still a great day spent.

There were so many high-lights and its worrying that most of them are food related, from St Ali's South Melbourne (amazing coffee and breakfast) to Shop Five in Centre Place. Hairy Canary for AMAZING egg plant chips and pizza, and Cookie for superb Thai-Tapas.

My only regrets for the weekend were not getting more photos, but at the time thought we would relax and forget the duties of carrying cameras around the busy streets.

I have such a love/hate relationship with online shopping - for instance, there is nothing better then shopping from the comfort of your own home, in your tracky-dacks whilst watching telly and sipping a warm cuppa, BUT then there's that whole not being able to avoid spending money drama.

Schmeh.. money is made to be spent, right? ;) Heres some recent purchases from ONElittlePIECE.

FREAKING LOVING LACE right now (sorry.. a little over-excited).. after purchasing two American Apparel lace basic dresses I am kind of poo-poo'd about not broadening my horizons and purchasing more 'creative' pieces. For example this dress that is now available for pre-order on ONElittlePIECE (or here on facebook), is AMAZING. I love the detailed sleeves AND its only $79.95! Hmm.. You can never have too much lace can you?....... PURCHASE!

I am also loving the Finders Keepers Range they are stocking.. this dress is an amazing winter staple and only $109.00........ PURCHASE!

Okay, I think I have done my dash for a friday afternoon, back to that cuppa and watching telly.. holidays are hard!

Finally.

I have been completely anonymous for about seven weeks now, not just to the Blogging community, but my friends, family, work.. everything. My life has been filled with Lesson Plan, Legal Studies, Students, Teachers, Literacy Requirements... I can finally breathe again!

My only sanity the last couple of weeks has been my weekends, that have been COMPLETELY jam packed. Dinners, Birthdays, Fare-wells, Drinks, BBQs.. endless fun!

Did I mention I was on holidays?

Who would of thought, I actually finished.. yay! well, for this degree anyway, one more year of my post-grad and I am done, done, done.

Had grad on Tuesday and whilst dressing up like Harry Potter is extremely fun, those cloaks are so hot and heavy and the silly man gave me a hat that was too big, plus the daunting thoughts of "I hope I don't trip on the stage". I guess thats the excitement of it all.

Thanks again to MDJPhotography for capturing this wondeful moment. I was a little disappointed that as a group we didn't get the opportunity to throw out mortar boards in to the air, so, I did it anyway.

I went with a 'timeless' Witchery dress that I picked up on sale about a year ago (wow..gone fast). I hadn't actually worn it yet but knew it would come in handy when I needed something simple, yet kind of elegant. I absolutely love these shoes too, as they give everything that little bit of edge.. they were a beautiful Christmas present, gosh I am lucky.

All-in-all, super fun day, and YAY I get to do it again.

Very happy Thursdays lovelies - why? because its the day before friday and then a LONG WEEKEND! bless the Anzacs xxx

As promised here are some piccies of our jelly fish! obviously not of me, but this gorgeous girl is way more photogenic (I hope you don't mind these being up here Snowey xo). Sorry about the quality of the last two, I was a little redundant about taking out my camera (please refer to a few posts back).. but you get the drift!

It was a fantastic night, but the most fun was actually putting the Jellies together. We bought umbrellas, streamers, and glow sticks all from 'Cheap as Chips', and made the costume for just $12 (bargain!). The little jellies even made it in to town with us after, but they are a little worse for wear now.

After an emotionally charged week I decided to treat myself to some new pant-a-loons (pants). As soon as I tried these on they had to be mine, comfort factor and coolness factor is 100+ ;) They are also SO easy to team with near everything, I found it hard to narrow one top down but in the end settled for a casual basic tee for the relaxed looked. Stay tuned though, I will, no doubt, be wearing these pants A LOT.

So another week ahead, I have tickets to Stereophonics for tomorrow night, cannot wait for that.. also have a dress up party this saturday. The theme is "Under the Sea" - any ideas friends? My girlfriend and I want a pretty versatile outfit so we can make the swift change to head to the city after (with out looking like sea merchants).. no doubt it will be a large evening, also have another birthday sunday, uh ohh.. going to be a boozey weekend.. but first, must get past the whole work-and-homework thing. bahh.

Autumn is finally here - I never thought I would say that. Its been 'mid-temperatures' for over a month and i am COMPLETELY over playing guessing games with the weather. We had our first down-fall of rain the other night, made it such a pleasant night for sleeping. Having said that its still not cold as such, just... weird.

I wore this outfit over the weekend but never got to post it, I LOVE my new red cardigan, I have never really been game to pull off red before (I think my skin is too red-based) but couldn't not wear this cute number. It has amazing embroidery on the front which I am a little upset didn't show up much in the photos (and its not like i can take more photos now, can i..grr), but its just divine. I am a little questionable about the gray dress, its a tad short, but plan to team it with leggings a lot over winter.

Ok, homework time.. no more procrastinating! Having a bit more of a quiet weekend this weekend, so plenty more posts to come.

Oh and...a big THANK YOU to that *SPECIAL* someone who has got on to my camera breakage S T R A I G H T away and ordered me a new part from overseas, I will only be a week without my camera thanks to him. big hugs xo

MEGA SAD FACE :(

My camera dropped today.. not. happy. Fingers crossed the body itself is ok, but by the looks of the missing plastic bits (pardon the specifics) the lens is not. I was actually trying to be good and get another outfit post done, I did get one, but now I am too angry to post it (I will eventually), and feel as if those pictures are tainted.. ha ha.

It has not been a good couple of days, not good, but not bad. Almost hit a dog crossing the road today, I didn't, but I could of.. hmpf.

Well it just hit 12pm, lets hope the day gets a little bit better from here on in, oh wait.. my afternoon is filled with studying for a quiz.. lose.

Started with a girlfriends birthday dinner Thursday night - then kicked on for a friends DJ gig after. Then Good Friday was filled with food, half watched movies, sleep ins and all round laziness. Saturday hitting up the shops, and dancing Saturday night. Sunday working and then headed down the South Coast for a mini holiday Sunday night/Monday - A M A Z I N G.

As I previously mentioned I got tickets to La Roux's show last night.. much fun. She/he (which ever 'it' classifies itself under - I will go with 'she'!) put on a great show. A pretty short set, which she apologized for, but she does only have one album - valid point. Bertie Blackman was the support which I thought was really average live. Felt like I was stuck at a struggling 80's formal.. unsure if she was actually singing or playing her guitar also, all I do know was there was back up vocals with no actual back up vocalists, interesting. I don't know much about music, but Bertie live, was just not my cup-of-tea. La Roux on the other hand, great entertainer, interesting voice, and a drummer that can juggle drumming and body rolling at the same time, very cool! Overall a good night spent with beautiful friends.

I went with a pretty simple outfit for the night, I actually took a blazer with me that isn't pictured. Being mid-march the weather is being so unpredictable.. absolutely beautiful through the day and FREEZING through the night. I absolutely love this dress, its a thrifted pick-up from years ago ('03 to be exact), I found it when rummaging through my closet the other day.

Anywho, finally an outfit post, you'll be happy to hear there is another one not far off also ;)

oh gosh, its been a while. Time really does fly and this weekend/the past week/the week to come is NO exception. I have had the busiest craziest week filled with job interviews, uni work, friends birthdays, gigs, dinners and dog-sitting! Yes, in all that craziness I actually found time to dog-sit the most wonderful dog in the whole wide world - Marcus. He is a beautiful Labrador, and the light of my boyfriends life. I am sitting near the backyard where he spent the weekend and it feels slightly odd that he isn't there, nevertheless, I'll see him again soon.

So this coming week is just as crazy, I finally got all my placement for Uni organized, and I actually can't wait. On top of that I still have the dreaded Uni work, work-work, tickets to La Roux, girly catch-up (times two), a friends birthday, and a reunion.. golly. I can't wait though, I love being super busy and not having time to think, it keeps my world spinning.

Anyway, I have made a few purchases over the last week or so that I can't wait to share, so i'll do an outfit post asap. You'll also be pleased to hear that I purchased the 'Chloe Boot' from my previous post on shoes. LOVE LOVE LOVE.

and just that, in the words of billy madison, back to school I go. After completing my undergrad studies last year (and especially the ordeal I went through to actually pass.. - going in to that would be a complete over-share), i have surprised myself by going back again for post grad. i guess part of me never wants to stop studying - its such a good life style! i can be how ever picky i want with hours at work, i can easily 'wag' and spend a day shopping, catching up with friends, or watching movies, and i can live at home with my parents board-free! its ze best just quietly. although, this year i feel is going to be a bit different, the course i am doing is 'fast paced'... so be prepared for numerous up-coming posts about me whining about the workload and so forth.

Weekend just gone was completely amazing, i have photos, but am too lazy to put them up just yet.. i will keep you in suspense ;)

ok, so perhaps i am getting a little ahead of myself with the anorak and beanie, and its hard to admit, but i am actually looking forward to winter! in saying that, i know come june/july i'll be longing for a warm summers day and a lazy afternoon spent at the beach. i guess whats got me excited this winter season is the array of amazing boots, coats, beanies.. ahh.. my poor little bank balance. I bought the basic stripe tube-dress the other day and got so excited with the abundance of stuff i could team it with. i thought for a lighter, going out look the blazer teamed up well. anywho ladys, happy looking.. and remember.. stylestalker dress still up for grabs xxx happy tuesday.. wait.. its wednesday?! yay for hump day! xxx

monday blues. as previously mentioned, i hate mondays. i am one of those people who are motivated by continuously counting down to another day, mondays i count down to wednesdays - hump day. thursdays i count down til fridays - end of the week. and fridays i count down to sundays - relax day. only to find myself back at stupid monday again.. hmpf.

so this weekend was amazing, filled with friends, good music, and ultimate relaxation. i have managed to score an SLR of my own so have been pottering around with that.. here are a few of my snaps, enjoy! xx

on waking up this morning i was deeply saddened to hear the sorrowful news of british fashion designer, Alexander McQueen's death. Known for his flamboyant and occasionally outrageous styles, the designer adored by celebrities was found dead in his London apartment, suspected suicide. Additional details attached to his death have not yet been released, but it can be said that at 10.30am relatives to McQueen were alerted that the top designer's body had been found, it is rumored he had hung himself.

suicide can be considered as the ultimate triumph of agency over structure. social and environmental factors can guide, influence and sometimes define and individuals behavior, and in these circumstances can engulf an individual.

RIP Alexander McQueen

don't you love sundays? sundays HAVE to be my favorite day of the week - by far, and more specifically, sunday nights. my sunday just gone was filled with pepperoni pizza, paul newman's ranch sauce (with out exception), beer, good friends and guitar hero... spoken like a true tomboy! i have had this sudden addiction for pepperoni pizza, i have never been a pepperoni fan but you may say i am now obsessed.

the weather the last couple of days has been amazing, nothing short of HOT - but thats how i love it. stifling days and hot barmey nights. tonight i went for a stroll down the beach, gelati in tow, what could be better?

a big week coming up - followed by a bigger weekend, life is fantastic!

Do you ever find yourself questioning everything you've always believed in? Like a sudden epiphany that it may NOT be true, that it might NOT happen. I am having one of those moments. I have found myself questioning everything - and every one. I often try to predict my future, write every minute detail down, from where I will be tomorrow, to next week, to next month, to next year, to the next five years and so on. I think i am beginning to realize this is near impossible, and being the control freak I am, it has scared me to no-end. I like things being predictable and I hate surprises. I don't like it when things don't go to plan, this has brought many a weary mind. Tonight I have found myself questioning whether my path is laid out for me or i make my own. If i make my own at what point do i start making it? is each minute pebble in my path relevant to the path I lead, and if so, how deeper impact does a whole paver make? Do i start planning for the path ahead or enjoy each paver as I lay it? Do I have the opportunity to remove pavers and start again? I like the idea of fate.. I like that there is a path made up for me, maybe I just don't like the responsibility or the insecurity of having to lay this tremendous path by myself.

nevertheless, i think too much.

i need a glass of wine xo

writing about the fast approaching weekend got me thinking, what AM i going to wear? any excuse for some online 'window shopping'. how a m a z i n g is today? don't you love those days where everything seems like its just falling in to place, where boxes are getting ticked and moneys been made? just super. like one big giant pat on the back.

To top it off there were blueberry muffins circulating - with a STRONG latte could there be a better morning tea! I find that your normal 'supermarket bought' bakery goods are sometimes even as good as cafes or bakeries themselves. maybe its something to do with the need for consistency. I loved them so much I got someone to photograph them for me as I don't think my point-and-shoot camera could do them justice. I love this particular individuals camera, in fact, i need his camera. I think an SLR is going to be my next purchase - accompanied by a few others of course.

Weekend is fast approaching, and a busy one at that! have a good friends birthday soiree saturday, can't wait! what to wear? I have a few options in mind, but part of me wants something new..

Woke up cold one Tuesday

I'm looking tired and feeling quite sick

I felt like there was something missing in my day to day life

So I quickly opened the wardrobe pulled out some jeans and a T-Shirt that seemed clean Topped it off with a pair of old shoes that were ripped around the seams

And I thought these shoes just don't suit me

And I felt like there were two days missing as I focused on the time

As I made my way to the kitchen

But I had to stop from the shock of what I found

I have never been an 'op-shopper'. I hate the smell, I hate that I wonder where the items originated from and where they have travelled, but after spending the morning scrutinizing ebay I decided to brave the smells and head to the local op-shop... hand sanitizer in tow.

Of late I have been inspired by one certain individual - who I will not name. She is beautiful and different, her fashion is a combination of old and new, her clothes clash, her hair is messy, she is tattooed and smokes.. but i love it. She has a unique kind of beauty, not someone your average Joe would find attractive, but she really inspired me to try something different.

I am not sure what came over me but my first stop in the shop was the dress section, for once patterns jumped at me, images were created in my mind.. had i finally opened my mind to the province of op-shopping? I even called in to a close friends on my way home to see if there was something wrong with what i picked out, i am proud to say - i am genuinely happy with my items.

ok, so my initial decision to make a blog was incredibly unsuccessful.. story of my life. Not being unsuccessful as such, more so starting something and not continuing on with it. Today is different, after a successful op shop trip I have made an oath to myself to be dedicated and consistent. To be a prosperous member of the blogger community.

As an individual do not consider myself 'fashionable' or even knowledgeable in the fashion industry. My fashion changes day-to-day, I in no way consider my 'style' to be vintage, alternative, funky, modern, not even a combination. My fashion sense (although I do not like using that term) derives from other peoples fashion, copying is one word for it, but I believe I take something I like, and use it in my own way. I believe everything is extracted from something, no one or nothing is 'original' but an elaboration, expansion, or derivative of something else, and I am fine with that.

I have a varied source of inspirations from magazines to blogs, individuals to stores, through out my posts I will more then likely to refer to them, so stay tuned.

I am here to share my thoughts and feelings, what i am eating, what i am wearing, what i am watching and what i am listening to.

I have forever been the type to write things down, record dates, and write my list of "wants and needs". i guess now this will become that space for me.
